These cotton face masks are made purely and simply, to help keep your hands off your face while you’re out and about.
These masks are not intended as a replacement for surgical masks and should not be considered as PPE (personal protective equipment).
They act as a barrier to 'Hands touching face' and offer some calm to people like me who feel quite anxious in places filled with people, like the local food store or chemist, during these current times.
Each mask is a 100% Cotton, washable face mask with an open inner pocket for a filter or an insert of your choice. They have a lovely shape providing room under the eyes for those that wear glasses and a curved area across the nose and mouth, giving it a shaped/fitted look while providing an open spacious feel.
Each mask has contrast nose strip, on the inner lining, which I’ve inserted a 6mm bendy wire pipe cleaner into, so you can squeeze the wire and get a snug fit over your nose.
There is one continuous stretch jersey strip used for the tie, so you can place the hoop over your head, then tie the loose ends at the back of your neck. I found this a better fit than the ones that just hooked behind your ears.
Having the adjustable loop, allows you to move the strip up and down, for a looser or tighter fit depending on the head size.
The mask will fit from age 10 to adult.
Please remember that these masks are not going to protect you from coronavirus and are not intended to replace recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19.
You should still be practicing social distancing by staying at least 2 Mtrs away from others and frequently washing your hands for 20 seconds each time.
If using a filter in the inner pocket, make sure you dispose of the filter after each use and before you put your mask in the wash.
You can wash your mask in a delicates bag or pillowcase in hot water with detergent. Putting it in a bag will help keep the ties in place, and ensure they don’t get tangled up in the washing machine.
Make sure you wash your mask after each outing.
